Mette Kristiansen & Paul Cohen | Cot & Co, Copenhagen.

Are you an urban cyclist?
One may possess an affinity for cycling, but that does not necessarily imply that they are an urban cyclist.

The definition has evolved.

From a mode of transportation to a stylish way of self-expression, connection and individuality.

Paul Harder Cohen & Mette Walsted Kristiansen founded Coh&Co in the world’s cycling capital, Copenhagen.

Mette, a passionate graphic designer driven by her creativity, brings the timeless essence of Bauhaus design to their visual aesthetics.

And Paul, with his impressive boat-building techniques and engineering proficiency, provides the perfect blend of technical, and mechanical acumen to the exquisite craft of designing and manufacturing a bicycle.

An unparalleled merger of skill and finesse, they craft bicycles for life.

“Our aim is to create an environment, where everyone, not just bike nerds, can develop a collective enthusiasm for cycling with a sustainable mindset to urban cycling”. said Mette.

All their bicycle models are developed and individually assembled at their

“Bike Farm”.

It is the place where they can escape to the peaceful countryside to breathe, let their mind flow and create with space.

And a showroom situated in the city to showcase and facilitate meaningful conversations with clients.

Their perfect balance.

Mette’s perseverance and strength through challenges come from her children and family.

Her young children admire their mum for pursuing something she is passionate about and it shows them the importance of perseverance.

“It is all a process and a constant one.

You have your victory and you have your downfall. But it shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the process and keep pushing through.”

“The biggest thing to learn is that it is extremely lonely when you run a business. Only a handful of friends or family can handle what you share with them.”

Mette also drew strength from Paul’s invaluable guidance, pushing her to persevere and thrive.

“When you are stuck and can’t move forward, learn to work on something else. Something that can take your mind off and stay focused. Focus on the work that will make your mind flow and what makes you happy.”-said Paul.

“It may sound counterintuitive to ask someone to work more when they are stressed, but it helped me get back into my needed deep workflow.”

She has learned that you get better over time, but don’t forget to pause and breathe.

Keep your body moving,
Keep your mind flowing
and keep pushing boundaries.
